Background
To further promote the development of modern logistics, the Government proposed in the Action Plan on Modern Logistics Development promulgated in October 2023 to develop modern logistics clusters with different functions at logistics sites earmarked in the new development areas. The logistics sites in Hung Shui Kiu / Ha Tsuen New Development Area (HSK/HT NDA) with a total area of about 36 hectares are the pilot sites for developing logistics clusters to enhance intermodal cargo transport, strengthen the key role played by Hong Kong in the logistics chain of the Greater Bay Area (GBA) and other regions, and promote high-quality development of Hong Kong's logistics industry for transforming Hong Kong into a sustainable modern, high value-added and smart logistics service centre. The planning study commenced in 2024.
